Barley is one of the richest sources of beta-glucan which is a polysaccharide that has been shown to increase prolactin levels in humans. This sunny tropical fruit can be used both raw and cooked in the form of soups. The fruit contains high levels of essential fibers and potassium which help the breast regain milk flow. This is popularly used in Asian cultures as a galactagogue.

Fennel seeds also help a lot during lactation as it has properties similar to Estrogen. A continuous and healthy intake of nuts also helps with nutritious milk production because they contain high levels of serotonin.
