Some kids just do not seem to gain weight and there are multiple reasons behind this. The reasons sometimes might be genetic or the babies might not receive the proper nutrition they require. Metabolism plays an important part in the weight gain pattern. So we have come up with a few foods that are easy to digest and help in weight gain of babies:

Breast Milk: Breast milk is the best source of proteins and vitamins required for weight gain. The WHO (World Health Organization) recommends babies to be breastfed for the first six months. This milk the baby gets are fat-rich and helps in the strengthening of bones and formation of muscles.

Potato: Potato is a superfood for babies and makes an excellent first solid meal. Potato is rich in carbs and minerals and also has an assortment of phytochemicals such as phenols and carotenoids. The carbohydrate in potatoes content helps in weight gain.

Paneer: Paneer is a form of cottage cheese and it is quite popular in Asian countries. It is the best alternative for animal protein. Paneer helps babies to gain weight, while also providing them with nutrients like phosphorus, calcium and selenium.
