To say it is hard to live with oily skin is a very big understatement. Fresh by the morning and sticky by the evening- Sounds Familiar? You are not alone, tons of people who have oily skin face the same problem. Dealing with your oily skin can be a slippery slope.
There is nothing more annoying than waking up with blemishes on your face. It throws you off the game. Especially the ones that are deep and hurt like hell. Here are a few tips to obtain blemish-free skin.

Exercise: Regular exercise gets the blood flowing in the blood capillaries under your skin. The sweat formed during exercise pushes the excess oil that has built up. This excess oil build-up is one of the primary causes of acne. A good 15 to 20-minute drill will not only keep you fit but also improve your skin health.

Take hot showers: Wash off any salty sweat and dirt that you’ve built up during the day. This gives your skin a breather – the steam from the hot shower helps in opening your pores. It usually takes steam 5 minutes to work its magic. As the pores open and there is no blockage, the skin is healthy and gets a glow.

Don’t pop your pimples: Popping a pimple might provide temporary relief, but it creates more trouble than you imagine. By popping your pimple, you not only introduce more bacteria into your skin. But also run the risk of damaging your facial capillaries and create deep acne scars. So, have your pimples removed professionally to avoid further damage.

Yogurt Mask: Yogurt contains high amounts of lactic acid that act as an exfoliant. It prevents further acne breakouts that might easily leave scars and blemishes behind. This mask can be made using two tablespoons of plain yogurt, a pinch of turmeric and half a spoon of gram flour. Apply the mask overnight 2-3 times a week to avoid blemishes.

Baking Soda mixture: Blemishes are mostly caused due to change in pH and inflammation of the skin. Baking soda neutralizes the pH levels of the skin and scrubs away the dead cells. This mixture can be prepared easily using one teaspoon of baking soda and olive oil as the base. After multiple scrubs, the dead skin in the blemish area will be cleared out.

Bottom line:

Pollution is increasing every day, causing the formation of dead cells which leads to blemishes. But by following these simple tips, you can keep your skin blemish free and healthy.
